Year 1 Learning Support Assistant

Think Teachers are working closely with an ambitious and forward looking two form entry school benefitting from modern facilities. We are seeking to find a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support for the continuation of the academic year. This role is to work with 2 students who are in Year 1 and the successful candidate would be knowledgeable in working with Autism. The position is to start from October half term on a full time basis and is based in St Albans.


You must have a DBS on the update service and be able to provide satisfactory references.


The successful candidate must:

- Hold a minimum of 2 terms’ experience working within this Key Stage.

- Have experience supporting a student with Autism on a 1:1 basis.

- Work alongside the class teacher to create a stimulating learning environment

- Perform in difficult situations

- Be confident and strong in behaviour management

- Commit to the entirety of the role including continuous communication with the class teacher and parents respectively.
