Teacher of Ethics, Philosophy and Theology - Bishop's Stortford

Think Teachers is seeking to recruit a part-time Teacher of Ethics, Philosophy and Theology to provide inspirational teaching to our extraordinary pupils and work with a collaborative and enthusiastic department, with experienced and dedicated departmental staff.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated teacher to join our busy and successful EPT Department from September 2022 on a part-time basis.

The position would suit an enthusiastic and talented teacher who has a clear philosophy of the role of EPT in schools.

Both early career and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply, with the Department happy to provide training and support as required.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To make learning exciting and stimulating and fun, employing a range of approaches and strategies, with the focus on pupil learning rather than teacher delivery.

  • To set and mark examinations

  • Ensure all pupils achieve their potential with respect to GCSE & A-level outcomes

  • To keep up to date with changes in exam board specifications with respect to the delivery and assessment of GCSE and A-level specifications.

  • To maintain the upkeep of all classrooms, wall displays and other resources reporting any problems to Head/ICT/Bursary as appropriate.

Our staff are our most important resource. We will recruit and retain inspirational teachers. All staff will be equally valued, supported and developed professionally in their roles.
