General Year 5 Teaching Assistant

Think Teachers are working with a large and friendly, two form entry Primary and Nursery school to appoint a Year 5 class Teaching Assistant to start immediately in September 2020. This position is initially for 1 term, on a full time basis. In order to adhere to health and safety measures, the working hours must be 8:30am- 4pm daily.


The school has forest school facilities and is situated on the outskirts of Welwyn Garden City, adjacent to an 80 acre Nature Reserve. The successful candidate will join our team of talented, hardworking staff who are committed to providing children with an excellent education in a safe and stimulating environment.

The successful candidate will:

· Have recent experience working within this Key Stage

· Be a character who bonds well with a class full of personality

· Have a good knowledge of the year 5 curriculum expectations as the children focus on the return to school.

· Nurturing and inclusive of children with SEN.

· Be able to work in partnership with class teacher to push high achieving students.

· Treat our children with care and respect.

· Be creative, passionate and committed to the whole role.
