CV ASSISTANCE
In recruitment your CV is everything. It can put you to the top of the pile or sadly, if it's tired and dated, it can see you needlessly plumet out of any shortlist.
Our team of experts will work with you to perfect your resume so that when we present it to a school it justifies the excellent candidate behind it.
ADVICE, TIPS AND RESOURCES FOR YOU
We pride ourselves on a matching service that is second to none. When sourcing school vacancies for you we will go that extra mile to ensure that the schools we present to you for interview meet with the requirements you have set down at interview. We understand that although your qualifications and experience are very important to you and the school when considering a teaching vacancy, we also fully appreciate that it is our job to help you find the right team for you to work with.
COMMUNICATION
Communication is vital when working with Think Teachers. We ask you to call or email with your availability at the end of each week, and be sure to update us with any changes. This may increase your chances of securing work.
If you have agreed to an assignment and cannot complete it, you must be sure to call your consultant to alert them as soon as you are aware. Please do not text or email the consultant as it may not always come to their attention. If the phone call goes to voicemail, please be sure to keep calling until you have spoken to someone who have confirmed receipt of the message.
Late arrivals – Please arrive to school for 8am. If you are going to arrive any later than 8:30am with all Assignments, you must call the office by 8:20am and speak to a consultant.
If you are working with a school on a Placement – please be sure to follow the schools policy in addition to speaking with your Think Teachers consultant.
THE SCHOOL DAY
Please arrive to school for 8am, upon arrival, ask for the Point of Contact, who will give your instructions for the day. It is also a good idea to make yourself aware of the timings of the day, all school policies including behaviour and safeguarding and any additional notes given to you. Always tell us how your first visit to a school has been – we like to hear you’ve had a good day too!

TEACHERS - Make yourself aware of the plans left for the day, including lesson expectations and set up your class with the resources accordingly.
The end of the day – As you would expect a guest teacher to leave your class, Think Teachers requires you to mark all the work you have set, tidy the classroom and meet the Point of Contact to ask for any additional expectations before leaving.

TEACHING ASSISTANTS – Introduce yourself to the class teacher you will be working with for the Assignment. Make yourself aware of the plan of the day and any particular expectations they hold. When working 1:1, learn as much as possible about the student including motivation techniques, triggers and the best way to provide support.

The end of the day – Give feedback on your day to the class teacher, help to tidy the classroom and check if they need anything more before leaving.
CODE OF CONDUCT
As per the Teacher Standards; Dress Code (Smart but practical), Language (No swearing or abusive language) and Behavioural Mannerisms must all meet the professional principles. Please follow the school policy for use of mobile phones. If one is not clear, we suggest you only use your phone in the staff room during breaks.
QUICK CONTACT
Please provide us with some basic information and one of our team will contact you as soon as possible.
